[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I think we were all pretty frustrated with our start. There’s nobody to blame but ourselves.
We talked about putting aside the first 40 minutes and putting together one period to give ourselves the two points, and that’s what we did.
We got to moving our feet, battling for picks, were a little more engaged and quite simply put more pucks on the net.
We weren’t doing enough of that the first two periods, and it made a difference when we got a rebound goal in front.
- Ryan McDonagh

It’s very important for me and for the team to close out tight games like this.
Personally, and as a team, you get confidence from that.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Stepan's line spent a great deal of time, I thought, in the other team’s end playing against their top line.
So they had one of their best nights in a long time and hopefully that’s the start of the trend here moving forward.
Your top players need to be your top players.
- Alain Vigneault

Mr. Loffen lives I Norway, so it's not early for him. LOL.

LGR. Tough game. I expect the Isles to start picking up their play.

Why do I think it's time for JT to sit for a game or two and heal up? With Grabs out, it can't happen but I do think JT should sit when he gets back. He's not the same player latley.

As has been said, Piles are playing a bit better and you just know they will be amped up that much more cause it's us who they are playing. We need to mirror that energy level from opening whistle and try and whether the early storm that we all know will be coming.

The first period IMO is the game for us. We get out of first period even or even a goal up, I love our chances very much. If not and we are down....ummm, it won't be pretty I get the feeling. LGR

Please don't freak out over Miller on the 4th line. Him with Jooris and Fast are clearly a 3rd line over Puempel-Pirri-Hrivik.

Miller hS been one of the worst players on the team the last week so, presuming he actually is healthy, the "demotion" is well deserved

Miller's been shoehorned into playing C when he's not a center at the NHL level and he has a giant gash on his knee. Impaired skating and an increased responsibility to cover more ice isn't a good combo. His linemates have sucked too.

That being said, they need to play better. Massacre the ****ing Islanders.

No kidding Miller hasn't been good lately. He's been playing on a bad knee with stitches that keep coming apart.
