Like I said in the other thread, does this result even matter? Doesn't seem like it to the powers that be. We know what this team is, we know its flaws and shortcomings, whether they win a game or two or continue losing in at least more respectable fashion.

Single game evaluations are pointless. They can win and management and coaching can pat themselves on the back while the actual trouble spots don't get erased. In fact, they'd probably only metastasize because they think the process was already sound.

It's gonna be another shitty game if Hak is still around. They'll be outchanced, outshot and outworked for 2/3 of the game at least. It'll be a pitiful effort and give up 3 or 4 goals in doing so. I want them to set a new franchise record in losses with 10.

For those that dont think Hextall was supporting Hakstol last night, Craig Button disagrees.

I'm just going to say this for the record - nothing in the world would make me happier than to see Hakstok turn this around and make me eat wagonloads of crow. I would love that, and not just because I am ****ing starving. I can't see it happening whatsoever, but I would love to be proven wrong by this guy. Because ultimately all any of us want is to have a fighting chance at a/nother title in our lifetime.

I hope it's at least a close beating. I want my girlfriend to see me excited. Like, we score a goal, they score a goal, we score a goal, they score a goal, we score a goal, they score a goal, it goes to overtime, nobody scores, and we lose in the shootout. That would be ideal.

Also, if some Veteran forward presence gets hurt in a not so threatening way and Lindblom can maybe make his debut at some point, that would be friggin' great.

But then again, we'd probably play Mark Alt for some reason.
