Ravens couldn’t get their own guy done?
Ravens promoted Orr to DC, so Weaver opted for to take Miami's DC job. It's a promotion, so that's the logical next step. I mean, yes there is currently more talent on the Ravens than the Commanders, given Wash moved out both DEs at the deadline and Forbes had a bad year as a rookie at CB.

But Miami has paid some players and given up picks, plus lost picks due to tampering. So, he's got some coaching up to do. Both his edge rusher Philips and Chubb are coming off serious leg injuries.

Not good for the raiders

It's not good, it's great. Kingsbury is an awful play caller who can't develop QB's. An air raid type offense with Aiden O'Connell at QB was a disaster waiting to happen.

In that sense, yes. But if he was the target, it’s not a good look to miss

There’s absolutely zero chance of O’Connell starting past week 3 of next season though.

That's definitely true.

You're probably right about that. They'll have to trade up to get Daniels in the first round though. Otherwise, it's a guy like McCarthy or Penix who should still be able to take the job away from O'Connell.

I can see the kid taking a college DC gig. If Carroll was gonna take a gig in college, it’d probably be An analyst job at Ole Miss, USC or Texas

Nix with his 5 years as a starter would challenge AOC. McCarthy, just a 2 year starter and didn't have to throw as much at Michigan. I don't think JJ should start much this upcoming season. Not til after Thanksgiving or so.

LV, if they remain at #13, I think they have many ways to go. OT to go opposite Miller on the line, DT like Newton (assuming Pierce believes in Wilson to be a legit DE opposite Crosby), or they look at one of the Edge guys like Latu/Verse. CB, Bennett, Jones, Hobbs would be their top 3 trio (and with Jones, need depth in the case he doesn't remain on the straight and narrow).

He got the same hype Adam Gase did once upon a time. The whole "young, hot shot, offensive whiz" shtick.

But without Gase, Peyton would have been a journeyman backup at best, very similar with Kliff and Mahomes, if it wasn't for Kingsbury, Mahomes would be signing with the Fort Wayne Tiger-Dogs in a semi-pro league

You guys need to learn where the credit belongs

Wonder if Cliff had this in his back pocket and once the Raiders didn't match his absurd asking price, he went the other way.
Curious as to why Kliff had a huge asking price? Does an OC job not offset against what AZ owes him? I saw that his deal with AZ went to 2027.
