All of the leagues in Europe are considered Pro by USPORTS. From my calculations - he has 3 years of eligibility left and must sit 365 from his last game with Vienna (spusu Vienna Capitals / ICE Hockey League / EBEL) which was March 30th, 2022 - so I believe he will have to 'red shirt' this season.

Alex Wall (UPEI/UNB fame) was also with Vienna last season

Looks like he has signed with Asiago of the ICEHL (same league he played in last year).

Alberta lost four really good players from last year's team that bombed Acadia (7-0) and St. FX (7-3) at the University Cup and lost 5-4 in Double OT to UQTR in the National Championship Final (despite outshooting them 70-40).
Noah Philp, who missed the first half of last season...but was Alberta's best player in the 2nd half of the season... signed an NHL deal with Edmonton.
Grayson Pawlenchuk who led the team in scoring in 19-20 is headed to Sweden
Gary Haden who led the Bears in scoring as a Freshman last season is going to the EIHL.
That is 3 of the Golden Bears top 6 FWDs.
Team Captain Clayton Kirichenko graduated and has gone to Austria.
Will be interested to see who the Golden Bears bring in.
Need some offence up front!
