Over time we can make rain a non-issue in MLB by having the league require all new stadiums be built with some sort of roof, with retractable ones preferred so that games can be played open-air when the weather is nice. Existing open-air stadiums would be grandfathered under the new rule, but their replacements must come with a roof.
