Sturm is playing very well.Mybee 2 line center With Peterka and Reichel

I would keep him in the bottom six maybe paired with Rieder and Kuhnhackl.
He's pretty good on faceoffs and that could be a good defensive line in the bottom six.

The top six is something for Drai, Stützle, Macek, Kahun, Reichel, Peterka, Tiffels etc.

Playing 3 U20 players in the top 6 would be disasterous at olympic level, especially if together. What these kids possess in talent (or future talent) would be thouroughly mitigated by a lack of maturity against the world's best.

It would be smarter if Stutzle, Peterka and Reichel were all deployed on different lines. They can be more easily sheltered that way.

Maybe something like:

Reichel - Draisaitl - Kahun
Stutzle - Macek - Noebels
Tiffels - Sturm - Rieder
Kuhnhackl - Loibl - Peterka

I would switch Rieder and Peterka. Need Peterka higher up, he have good offensive skills. Rieder with Kuhnhackl and Loibl would be good checking unit and they all play in SHL, i name it the SHL-line.

Yup, a team like Germany needs to make 2 pure checking lines, 1 elite offensive and a 50/50 line.

Loibl is too high up. He s not exactly a briliant offensive player.

Also i wonder why it is so many says Macek is not gonna play....the guy played for Germany in og 2018 and is one of the best german players. Why would he not be on the team?

He's a naturalized Canadian who only represented Germany during the few years he lived in Germany.

Pietta, Wolf and Hager is kind of suprising for me. Where is Eischensmid?

Mannheim had another Covid outbreak. 14 people (players + staff) were tested positive, maybe Eisenschmid is one of them?
But I could not find a list of the names, so I don't know if that is the case.

Seems like Germany wants to get more physical upfront with Wolf and Hager. Was kind of missing in the last WC. This OG is on small rinks so its probaly a good choice.

Who is nr 1 goalie?
