Not in the first round, no. I do believe they tried to last year with Dallas.

Never in the 1st, but Kopecky, Turgeon, Liv, Filppula were all players they moved up in the draft to get.

Funny to think it would probably cost them at least both 2nds to move up a couple spots in the top 10, or they could have just lost another game or two during the season instead.

Maybe we can hope for a small injury to howard and go back to our losing ways. But i do wonder what we could get if we packed the 3 picks 31-40 and move up, what would that fetch ? 13th-15th ?

Basically 8 of which are top 100 too. Should mean that with just average drafting we have 2-3 wings in 3-5 years time. With a little bit better than average drafting we could theoretically have 3-4 NHL players. I personally hope they go for 2-3 d this year with top 8 picks and 1-2 centers.

It's actually re-signs, meaning, "to sign (with) again". Resigns means, "to quit".

A minor detail, but it's always been a pet peeve of mine, when talking sports.
