Elliott Sadler to retire from full time competition after 2018 and leaves a driver open opportunity at JRM;

BK Racing update: 3 bidders for the bankrupt team including the charter bids over the 23/83..... GMS Racing, current operator Ron Devine or Front Row Motorsports will buy and/or absorb, if it is Front Row, the assets of the 23 by this time next week;

ALL Cars passed technical inspection there was no penalties assessed at Michigan or Mid Ohio

Ross Chastain went from the 4 to the 42 for at least 3 races beginning today;

Brandon Jones and the 19 team had a disaster as did the 23 of Elliott, who was replacing Spencer Gallagher, the 23 failed pre race inspection three times, lost the car chief and then ended with a tire penalty after qualifying....

Jones' team was hurt way worse than that as that team became the 1st in NASCAR history to be barred from Qualifying due to inspection issues, as that team failed 4 times, lost 10 owner and driver points, lost at least 2 crew members for the inspection issues, then spun in the race; it didn't matter as the team advanced by clinching a spot

Stage 3 167/367: 2-Keselowski (1st career win in the Southern 500/25th overall win, 1st time Penske has won Darlington since 1975; it was also the 1st win for Miller Genuine Draft branding since the 1990 Cup season in the Coca Cola 600;

Hamlin has clinched playoff spot on points as has Almirola so now 14 of the 16 drivers are known for this years championship, 15th and 16th right now are the 48/88 of Johnson and Bowman pending the outcome of the Brickyard next Sunday, it's also the 1st time Stewart Haas has put all their drivers in to battle for the title (Hendrick has done it previously)

As much as I absolutely hate Logano, anyone bitching about that move should not watch short track racing. Truex raced him clean to a fault and never should have and instead got it done to him but who didn't see it coming? He should have been more aggressive and instead got shoved. It's not dirty.
