We think Belpedio can eventually replace Green. We wish Honka and Ritchie the best in Minnesota where they can develop their game.
Still trying to get salary out but use the savings here to keep Zucker under contract.

SABRES TRADE REINHART AND LEHNER TO CAROLINA IN 6-PIECE DEAL

DALLAS, TX - The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they have acquired defenseman Haydn Fleury, forward Warren Foegele, goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic, and a 2nd round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Sam Reinhart and goaltender Robin Lehner.
Fleury (7/8/96, 6' 3", 221 lbs) made his NHL debut this season, appearing in 70 games and tallying 8 assists for Carolina. The Carlyle, Saskatchewan native was drafted in the first round, seventh overall by the Hurricanes in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Foegele (4/1/96, 6' 2", 190 lbs) played in his first season of professional hockey this season, appearing in 72 games and tallying 49 points for the Charlotte Checkers. He previously played for the University of New Hampshire, the Kingston Frontenacs and Erie Otters. The Markham, Ontario native was drafted in the third round, 67th overall by the Hurricanes in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Nedeljkovic (1/7/96, 6' 0", 198 lbs) appeared in one NHL game for the Hurricanes during the 2016-17 NHL season. He appeared in 51 games for the Charlotte Checkers in the 2017-18 season, posting a 2.52 GAA and a .905 SV%. The Parma, Ohio native was draft in the second round, 37th overall by the Hurricanes in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Reinhart had recently signed a 3-year extension worth $12M. Lehner was a pending Restricted Free Agent.
Sabres General Manager Jason Botterill released the following statement: "I would like to thank Sam and Robin for their time with the Buffalo Sabres organization and wish them the best of luck in Carolina moving forward. We are excited to get three young players who will all compete for a roster spot right away. Haydn is a solid offensive-defenseman with great shot blocking ability. Warren brings good goal-scoring and playmaking abilities to our left side, where our depth was lacking. Alex adds to a strong stable of goaltending prospects and will be an asset in goal for our organization."
The 2018 NHL Entry Draft continues this weekend at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
