I dont understand how leafs fans think they stole anyone when most rankings had Liljegren past 15th.

The REAL steal of the draft is LA Kings getting Vilardi at 11

Nobody knows who the steal is on day 1

That's about the best thing the Leafs could have hoped for with a mid round pick.

The guy was considered as a top 3 pick at the start of this year. He feel with an underwhelming season, but hoping he can be our Cam Fowler type of steal on a sliding stud.

With so much of the draft order being unpredictable this year there's probably not much need for trades. That's the best I can figure.

the tsn panel even suggested it was a steal. so was vilardi, doesnt mean liljegren didnt fall into the leafs laps.

and no, most mocks had liljegren not making it past 13.
Zona,Buffalo,Detroit,Tampa,Calgary and Vegas were all teams that were looking at dmen
