Speaking of goalie prospects, I didn't see it mentioned here, but interesting that the Preds signed former Oilers prospect Miroslav Svoboda to a 2 year ELC last week. Did we ever hear about why the Oilers never signed him to a deal? I believe we lost his rights last summer?

I'll preface this post in that I've only stat watched Skinner, but he seems to struggle with consistency. Looks unbeatable one game, and then very mediocre the next.

He is still a pretty raw talent. When he is on he is unstoppable. Big boom/bust prospect. If he makes it he will be extremely good.

Looking at his stats he's not worth a contract IMO.

He's a defensive defenseman though. And he played on two less than stellar Saginaw Spirit teams when he played in the OHL. I wouldn't mind signing him and letting stew another year in Finland. The kid's 6'6 and he can skate.

CapFriendly says the Oilers hold his rights until June 1, 2020. I thought because he was drafted from the CHL it'd only be two years but maybe because he left it's four?

Wasn't he technically just loaned out to Saginaw from HPK? If that was the case then maybe he'd still count as a euro prospect and not be under the CHL agreement.
