I hope that Wennberg gets invited.

He's just sssoooo good. Stalberg likes the bigger rinks with his speed. Adam Larsson is also great, a top shut down defenceman.

Erik Karlsson has been over-used. All those 30+ minute games has taken its toll, he has looked horrendous in his last 5-6 games.

I really hope that OEL comes.

Agree with all of this

Unless we get a ton of NHL d-men in whc, I think Rundblad would be very intresting. Putting up great numbers in NLA.

OEL, Forsberg, Nylander will not come either. Nylander will be playing i AHL playoff then, and OEL and Forsberg are already in the WC team.

If we are very lucky maybe something like this. To bad they havnt saved more d-men spot for WC, if they had, this could made things very intresting.

Karlsson might come. Think he wants to play on a good team who can challenge for a gold, for a change.

Don't think a lot of NHL:ers will get an invitation. Swedes has had a pretty underwhelming season in the NHL. Almost everyone has under-performed or are over the hill and can't reach the previous success.

Backlund has looked much better the past two months, but started out horribly bad.

Want Adam Larsson to get an invitation.

Same goes for Lehner and Johan Larsson.

Wennberg.
Lindholm.
Rask.
Brodin, if Minnestoa doesn't make it.
OEL is injured right now and has had a tough season, leading that wreckage of a team in points..

Not sure that's even remotely correct or who you're thinking of. Goalies are doing better than ever. Defensemen likewise(first time in 25 years or so with 3x 50pt dmen? and strong depth).

The real down-part are some star 35 year old forwards that are starting to naturally decline, but on the other hand it looks like we'll maybe have more than one 30 goal scorer for the first time in 5-6 years(Steen is our only 30 goal scorer the last 4 years).

Strong campaign for Swedish NHLers overall IMO.

Johan Larsson and William Karlsson has been hot for a while. They should be tested.

Both of them are gritty players, so they would have no problem playing in bottom 6.

Feels more exotic to have them on the team instead of Joel Lundqvist, Jimmie Ericsson...

Leaving Lundqvist off the team when he's having the best season of his career seems a bit.. illogical.

Right this minute it's logical to expect Jonas Brodin and Gustav Nyquist to join the WC team in Mockbah.

Omark is dominating in the KHL-playoffs.

Media and MÃ¥rts are saying that Omark and Klasen are fighting for the same spot, but this is strange logic....why can't we have both on the team? They can play on diffrent lines....

Nylander, A. Larsson, Josefson, Backlund, Wennberg and W. Karlsson will be closely scouted.

Nylander, Larsson, Backlund and Wennberg would be really good additions Josefsson is a fine defensive center but really wouldn't bring anything that Backlund wouldn't add the same pretty much goes for Karlsson fine defensively OK offensively but nothing about his game really stands out as something we wouldn't be able to get somewhere else.

Backlund would absolutely bring something.

He's better than any Swedish forward currently not playing in the NHL.

Toronto is sending Nylander to the Marlies (playoffs) after the NHL season is over.

Will not go to the WC.

World Champs start May 6 so first round losers AHL/NHL are fully available(playoffs start as early as April 13 this year).

Obviously that is still a long shot with Nylander as the Marlies have wrecked the league. But AHL is AHL with an odd playoff format(first round is BO5, worse team start with two games at home) so you just never know.

Backlund is the best forward addition this team can get I think, along with the Carolina guys. Should be keen on playing himself onto the World Cup team, too? He's on the short list, in my book.

Oh yeah he will definitely bring something. Man the AHL playoffs... that's such a waste.

Now, is it so far away to hope for ONE (or two) lousy superstar we didn't think of?

Zetterberg, Karlsson or Ekman-Larsson etc.

Or ONE more goalie that is close to andraspaden later this summer, Markström, Läck or Lehner

Or TWO (hold on now, jfc) lousy centers (beside Lundqvist and Sjögren) out of these: Backlund, Zibanejad, Rask, Berglund and Söderberg

One (just one) second defenseman: Edler, Brodin, Larsson, Klefbom

ONE (1.000) breakthru from a kid line: Rask - Wennberg - Lindholm etc.

Möller and Hersley will not play in World Championship. S.Kronwall, Ahnelöv and Nylander probaly not. Ridderwall, Ullström, H.Karlsson gets the nood.

http://www.expressen.se/sport/hockey/tre-kronor/moller-nobbar-spel-i-vm--nylander-osaker/

Realistic team right now:

Klasen - Backlund - Pettersson
Omark - Söderberg - Petersson
Zibanejad - Rask - Lindholm
Brodin - Josefson - Nordström
Norman, Engqvist

Brodin - Enström
Larsson - Edler
Grossman - Junland
Burström - Gustavsson

Fasth
Lehner
Markström

My 4th line is exactly what we need. Young, fresh and gritty. Brodin is having a good playoff.

Grossman is a better version of Rahimi/Ahnelöv.

If S.Hjalmarsson and Danielsson makes this team i will not watch a single game.
