The Major Midget year is about to start up, as will the scouting lists for the entry draft. Anyone have some early rankings they would like to share? Of course there's Adam Dawe, Shane Bowers, Mathieu Charlebois, etc.

Looks to be a solid draft.

More Atlantic players than usual have moved.

There's a bunch of Maritimers at Notre Dame, including Adam Dawe. Gentile & Marchand moved to Rothesay. No clue where Blake Jamieson is but he didn't go back to CIHA. Oh and Cole Rafuse came back from Don Mills. He's going to play for Valley

Is Ethan Crossman eligible in 2015? He's a '99 born which would put him this year I think.

Curious to see where he is ranked.

Looks like Blake Jamieson is playing for Charlottetown this year in Midget Major. That's who he played for this weekend at the Moncton Jamboree.

one of the better lists this season will be any of the canada games rosters. '99's.
may be a few '00's among the rosters but 99% of rosters will be '99's. CWG rosters should be announced by mid November.
looks like Hoyt can play baseball too, part of team atlantic playing this week in toronto at the tourney there.

With the changes to the 2015 rules about selecting 99's in any round, what does that mean for 98's? Will there be more 99 Espoir players drafted into later rounds? Will late bloomer 98's creep up into earlier rounds (with the teams knowing some 99's will be available in later rounds? Thoughts?

Good chance to see the top prospects as they go head to head this weekend. Live streaming available.

"The MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus will play host to the Atlantic Regional branch Canada Games Male training teams from October 3-5, 2014.* The four teams are preparing for the 2015 Canada Winter Games in February in Prince George, BC."

I hope those aren't the actual PEI jerseys in the tournament, you can barely see the numbers

I think it could be a big year for Espoir kids and 98s and they could easily be picked sooner since you can accurately rank and project based on round now. Atlantic Canada is not going to produce a large group of top 99.

So far after a few games at the PEI pre-canada games challenge im underwhelmed. There are a few kids looking Q worthy and by a few i really mean 4-5. Jared MacIssac (2000) is one of the best kids at the tournament and he's not even draftable.

The NS team cut some of my favorite players for the draft.

The story of the pre-tournament was that the goalies are not good.

From the games at the Atlantic Pre Canada Games, there wasn't much for star performances.

PEI team mostly underwhelmed although if anyone played well, it was Dallas Farrell and Carson MacKinnon, both playing at Notre Dame this year.

NFLD had very little outside of Dawe and Smallwood (defence man) both of Notre Dame as well. Dawe was dynamic at times, as expected. However, his emotion was not in control, taking a few very costly penalties. Can't have your best (only exceptional) player in the box while the other team scores 2 PP goals. Seems to have been frustrated having to do the work all by himself????

NB had a few impressive players. Hoyt looked fairly good, along with Crossman and the defenceman Toner.

NS seemed to lack the one star player that they often have. That was helped by a very deep team. McIsaac ('00) was solid, but not a total standout. Bowers didn't overly impress from what I saw. Two players that surprised a bit were Berger (big forward) and Myra (small forward). Myra had very good wheels all weekend and was very solid on his feet. Berger played the body fairly well.
