I think Dallas could potentially sign some of these undrafted guys. They came into this draft with 175 names (150 were D), and I assume they'll push hard to get them into prospect camp in the week and then the Traverse Tournament. I bet they could sign one or two.

I hope Vail is one.

Sanvido is a 6'6 215lb d-man. Not an overly offensive guy, but can chip in. He's a bit passive along the boards, but has been using his size more as the season went on. In the beginning, he was compared to Rathje, so take that as you will. He's not a fighter by any stretch; any fight he has been in has resulted in a couple of punches, then being tackled to the ice. Very quiet guy, goes about his business with a scowl, but gets the job done for the most part. Not a quick guy, but working on that. He's a bit of a project guy, but if he finds his mean streak, and works on his skating a bit, he could be a steal.

If you are 6'3 or higher and is a defenseman there is a good chance that you got drafted by The Dallas Stars.

There is obvious criticism with this draft for selecting too many defencemen, but considering our 2013 and 2012 drafts, I think we could afford to shotgun defence.

Looked through each team's drafts... LA, Phoenix, Vancouver and Winnipeg all did quite well.
