Has anyone ever released their bid video before? Not sure the league is going to like this...they don't seem to be big fans of transparency...probably means Barrie will never get the Memorial Cup now...
I think we can put the questions and debate of why they didn't win the bid to bed after watching the video.Has anyone ever released their bid video before? London has everything you could want in a host city. ya, they hosted 9 years ago but London makes money and the Hunter brothers will make moves to stack the team even more than it already is and dominate.
Every team - yes EVERY team - who is selected to host makes moves to improve their team. Believe it or not, the Hunters aren't alone.
Guess what else? There are other teams in the league - most, actually, who make money! No, really! I wouldn't joke about that.
Question.....How many London Knights fans takes to screw in a light bulb?
Answer: One, he just holds it and lets the world revolve around him/her!

Elie is rated as a late second early third. Hes a top 6 forward next year on most teams. Platzer a top 9 and Jammes still an unknown. The thing about London is, that without making any moves, guys like Elie, Platzer and such are at best in their top 9.
They still will have Chris Tierney as a third line centre, who would be the top centre for the Colts this year. Guys like the Ruperts will still be second or third line guys, the defense will remain strong despite the loss of Harrington, they will still have two first round NHL picks on the back end with Zadarov and Maatta, plus others who will fill roles. They had the best roster this year, and have the most returning players. Griffith and Broadhurst will hurt, but they have the guys internally who can fill those roles. As of now (assuming that Broadhurst and Griffith are gone) they only have 1 OA spot spoken for. The selection committee doesn't look at it, but with the picks that they have and the 95's-96's that they could move, they could be outright scary.
Add in all the depth that they have in Jr A with guys like Santino Centorame, John DiLorenzo, Owen McDonald in Jr B. They are very, very deep.
I think Griffith and Broadhurst will be the returning OA's. Harrington and Maatta could both go to the Penguins AHL team if neither makes the big club. Kyle Platzer will get more ice-time and he will light it up. Miles Liberti will develop into a solid defender who may switch between forward and defence. Remi Elie will play a bigger role as well in a checking role but still putting points up. Jacob Jammes won't get any time and will be a movable piece, so will Corey Pawley. I can see some other guys being traded as well: Josh Anderson, Brett Welychka, Owen MacDonald and Chris Tierney
Port Stanley is one of those places you could spend a day at; between the beach, the shops, and restaurants. There were a few restaurants near the beach that I had hoped to try, but didn't get the opportunity. The whole town and area is worth the drive. You don't find many hidden-away beach towns like this anymore.
Knights77, sure, there's tons to do IN London, but half the fun is finding stuff to do in the area.
How much would 2014 Memorial Cups tickets cost?? This is like for non-season ticket holders....Could anyone give me an estimate?? And when will they go on sale??
I got my season seat ( no garauntee I won't be moved but chances are real good I get my seat)
I also got 2 other seats ( location wont be releasedd until sept)
All my tics were about 600 bucks.
I'm not sure if the club seating is a bit more like the reg season or not. ( club seats- lower level, across from benches blue line to blue line basically)
Never in the building they have now.
680 lower bowl or 600 upper per seat.
I wish it were 200 lol. I think in 05 it was just under 300
