Connor Brown seems to have gained a step. HIs acceleration on that 2-0 goal was wayyy better than his last year in junior. Skating (first step and explosiveness) were his big issues from when I saw him play. VERY impressed.

probably less like mac, and more like a tucker. he hustles and isn't afraid to go into corners or drive for the plays.

we need the complete list of all our prospects with up to date stats again! Who used to do that on the first page last year?

Nylander is tearing the SHL apart as an 18 year old, #1C. Beautiful.

Gauthier 0 points game today. Of note on face-offs he was 5/21.

The positive was he was even in plus-minus.

This gives him 1 point in 4 games on the year.

Im gonna be a HUGE dick here, sorry. Would it be possible zeke to have the total points made to match the total number their respective leagues play? It might sound dumb, but saying Nylander will get that many points (or is on pace) is somewhat disingenuous when his league plays... 60?

Ouch! I expected him to have a slow start but that's a beatdown in the dot

pace is just current ppg. its not a prediction, it's just so we can compare players with different numbers of games played.

Its not hard. Just divide the number of points the player has by the number of games he has played, then multiply it by the total number of games they will play in their respective leagues.

Nylander has missed some games already and will probably miss more due to the world jrs so his total number of games he will play in the SHL would be less.

If Gauthier can improve his face offs a bit I could see him one day becoming a Dave Steckel 'lite' for us during his Washington years. He's got a bit of an uphill battle and a lot of work to do but I believe he has what it takes to get there one day.

Dave Steckel never cracked 20 points, Dave Steckel lite would be a 3rd line AHL player.

You guys need to relax with Gauthier in the same way you need to relax with Nylander. They're 19 and 18 respectively and have a ridiculous amount of room to grow/mess up.

As others have pointed out, it would take quite a bit of effort to prorate each guys' stats to the # of games his league plays. Not only that, but considering that most guys have missed time (ex. SHL season is 55 games but Nylander missed the first 8(?) so you'd have to prorate him to 47; Gauthier & Valiev started late due to injury, etc.) and there is also the fact that we don't know how many games some guys will end up playing (ex. NCAA 'schedule' is only like 35ish games, but then there is the potential for up to ~41 games with 'playoff' tournaments; Engvall has already played in 3 different leagues, so would you prorate his stats for all 3?). Basically, what you have suggested, while it would probably be more meaningful than just flat 82-game prorating for every guy, would be a pretty time intensive undertaking.

Wow Bibeau with a .943 sv% ------You never know with goalie propects but this kid could be legit. It would be awesome if the Leafs could develop a superstar type goalie from junior to pro.(crosses fingers);)

Gauthier I see as a 4th line checking center in a few years...Not exactly what you expect out of a first round draft pick...Yeah it's early and bigger guys often need a longer time to develop but I don't see much upside there.

the work is no big deal.

I just don't know what value there is in prorating a different number for each league. How is that helpful?

At this point I wish we'd just get rid of Smith, Orr, Mclaren, Kontiola, Bodie, Mikkelson, and Marshall.

I'd rather struggle with the kids all playing then be good with these no future vets taking up space.

We drafted Steckel 2.0, boy I am excited.

One point in 4 GP. Morrison and the boys are not looking good on this one.
