Apparently he was a steal that dropped to us because of injuries.

And then you look at his career with the Jays and realize why he wasn't a steal and those injuries are real

I remember when he and Matt Smoral were "steals" of that manner in back-to-back drafts. I saw Smoral pitch with the Canadians last year (that's right, a 2012 pick with 3 years of pro ball experience was pitching in short-season A) and he was an absolute train wreck.

EDIT: apparently not enough of a wreck to scare teams off though. He got claimed in the minor league portion of the rule 5 draft by Texas
