Is there a cap on how many ELCs we are allowed? Also, I'd consider trading down from 1st overall

So is it best team you can assemble for right now or building for over the next 5 years? Or some different criteria?

Totally changes the value of veterans

AveryStar and me made a trade last night:

To me: 1st overall + his 7th round pick
To AveryStar: 2nd overall + my 5th round pick

Should I wait for him to confirm or can I pick?

1st + 97th
2nd + 66th

alot to move one spot.. but it's the difference between getting "a certain player" and not.

2nd overall - I'm going a bit off the board and taking Nathan McKinnon. Young, great contract, and the highest points per game in the NHL.

Also @Duke16 since there's less teams why not do 65-85 cap? Cause it's going to be hard choosing some players

I think given that we have half the teams picking from the talent out there it's more of a challenge to not just take the best guys without considering contracts much. The normal cap makes it more of a challenge and makes you value good contracts and not just stack up big ones.

But there's a lot of good players on bad contracts (I.e. Price, Kane) whom I sure don't see many people going after 10m contracts
