Well, a Guy who played for Sweden at the WJC-20 can't be really bad, right? So I am not sure that is really a bad pick. We will see. But yeah I would personally prefer the swedish Sebastian Aho

in 73 total games combined reg season and playoffs in the Allsvenskan and SHL he has 1 goal and 1 assist.

One of the worst picks I've seen the Canucks make since the early 2000s. Absolutely useless pick. Hopefully he can be a 7th in Utica in a few years.

I hate this pick but he should be at least better than cederholm because he can at least skate

That is simply not true. I don't think I've ever read that about him anywhere

From HF
"Cederholm is a big, mobile defenseman with solid defensive skills and an edge to his game. He is a shutdown specialist and excels at staying with his man and positioning himself to best stay with his check. He will not put up monstrous offensive numbers but can start the transition with an accurate first pass out of the defensive zone."

"A big, fearless stay-at-home defenseman. Limited in terms of offensive upside and puck skills, but usually plays a simple and smart game. Not the fastest of skater, but decent mobility. Has the tools to become a reliable depth defenseman logging big minutes on the penalty kill."
EP

"Mobile Swedish dee-man who has an excellent size/skill ratio and good feet. Sound in alll phases and upside to progress into a big contributor.
--Bill Placzek--"

"Anton Cederholm, RD, 6"2, 205lbs, Rogle J20, SuperElit
In a lot of ways Cederholm reminds me of Niklas Grossmann. Cederholm is a big defenseman who can skate well, can deliver punishing hits, when needed, and is excellent in his own zone. A typical stay at home defenseman. He's consistently played above his age group and will likely be playing in the Allsvenskan next season with Rogle. His offensive potential is limited to his ability to get the puck out of the zone to his forwards but he does this underrated skill pretty well. He will need a few years but he could provide a relible stay at home defender. I can see him sneaking into the late second round or possibly falling all the way to the fifth or sixth rounds. It all depends on whether a team really likes him or not."

these are cederholm and gunnarson's writeups on eliteprospect

A big, fearless stay-at-home defenseman. Limited in terms of offensive upside and puck skills, but usually plays a simple and smart game. Not the fastest of skater, but decent mobility. Has the tools to become a reliable depth defenseman logging big minutes on the penalty kill. (EP, 2013)

Gunnarsson is a defenseman who plays a safe, defensive-minded game. Owns decent mobility and skating ability. Likes to hit and punish opponents physically. Doesn't contribute much offensively.

So, if he becomes a 3rd pairing, showdown D that's a bad thing? Nothing in his history says he doesn't project to that. Not all D are supposed to be scorers.

He played in the SweHL at 18, was on the WJC20 team, obviously recommended by Gradin...
I'd say give the guy a chance.
