There is, you clicked the X. Go to your profile, then customize profile. At the bottom there is a option "Dismissed Notices". Go to that then click the box then save.

I dunno about that. A lot of the defensemen drafted in the 2nd round are equally as good of prospects.

that is true. though I think teams in the first round should have chosen Finn

Calgary is a great example.

That's not easy to do, when your team scores 9, it is harder to stay off the scoresheet, than be on it.
