No, they were solid top six guys that could play on a teams top line if needed. If you're anything more than a good middle six guy, you're no longer a role player to me.

But yea, this is all a semantics argument.

Hossa, and Saad for that matter, are role players to me. There's a spectrum for sure but if a player can't carry his line then he's not a star IMHO.

Hossa was a star but there seems to me that there needs to be a description between star and role player. Saad is below a star but above a role player. At least with what I think of when I hear the words
