So far, the defense hasn't looked much better without biega and Gudbranson.

Why are we blaming Pouliot when nobody had Tavares? Who was the center?

I'm not even a huge Pouliot fan.

Oh yes, this is the team that will make playoffs.

The Islanders have made a lot of teams look like a collection of beer leaguers.

I still agree. This team blows. A collection of reclaimation projects, castoffs and hasbeens.

Oh plenty of blame to go around on that goal and the game...like all 19 players that are dressed. But that was weak by Pouliot and illustrative of his issues. He’s weak along the boards. Lee is big but that was a poor effort.

The wheels on the tank go round and round...

Tonight is a big win for team Y2K, not that I'm supporting it, but... this team looks crap.

Holy crap Edler got a shot through! Maybe he watched Subban too.

Edit: correction it hit a shin pad and went wide.

It's cause this team is crap.

Can work hard but in the end skill typically beats hard work; especially when the team is slow as molasses.

Benning is basically putting lipstick on a pig. Maybe that's just his thing.

Pouliot needs to get stronger on the boards no question but other than being out muscled by a 230 lb forward i thought he has looked pretty good tonight...smooth with the puck and makes good passes. At least has some flair in the offensive zone. The rest of this defence is a collection of plumbers pretty much void of offensive talent or the ability to get a good shot on goal.

Islanders came into this game 15-7 and had won 7 straight at home. Not sure who expected a win here.

One of the worst performances of the season against a very good hockey team.

Horvat was the best player on the ice for us.
The goal was a beauty and he was one the two Canucks who were able to create something offensively.

The other was obviously Eriksson. Good 1st period and decent 2nd for him.

Tanev was the third best with a pair of great play but one of the five Isles's goal was clearly on him.

No Sedins, no Boeser for the second game in a row, no goaltending and bad d.

Sit Burmi and put Goldobin in, please.
