Nothing is gonna fix this defense but a bit of time though too, its basically Heddy, Sergy, and pretty much all new faces/guys who haven't done a full season with us yet.

Most of our defensive woes the past two games have been results of pretty poor line changes. Especially Buffalo.
Bench confusion can be attributed to the line juggling and new faces, but it needs to get better soon.

Watched the SN feed last night, and the semi-homer commentators said Friedman was "protecting his goalkeeper" in getting involved with TJ. Dummies. TJ wasn't even close to or made any contact with Demko. Friedman was the instigator, asked for it, and he got it. Lucky he escaped with his face intact.
The biggest fix to help ourselves defensively has already been made. Sergachev went from getting 60% 5v5 dzone draws to start the season all the way down to 30% over the last two games.
Would be nice if the guy who's the 12th highest paid defender in the NHL who leads the team in offensive zone TOI, had more than a single assist.
Our defense will live and die by how effective Sergachev is, too much invested in him to be this bad.
