Well thats the Oilers. Actually though don't know about your theory. They got Draisaitl and competent goaltending could go farther then their common second round exits.
Bobrovsky isn't even a top ten goalie.
He's having a decent run. But even for the Devils, this is McDavid.

Bobrovsky is the best goalie right now. He's showing it, dominated the Bruins. Dominated the Leafs. Dominating the Canes. That's 3/4 of the best teams in the NHL.
McDavid can score all the PP goals he wants, but that aint helping when Vanacek can't stop a beach ball bruh.

I think you better go look at his statline from that series.
Bobrovsky has a 2.90 gaa or higher in 3 of the last 4 seasons. You better hope you have someone scoring powerplay goals.

Bobrovsky is having a once in a career playoff performance and a front runner for the conn smythe. He is never replicating this playoff run ever again. Mcdavid wins this poll

I watched quite a few Canucks games this season and think Mcdavid would have been more needed there than Bobrovsky:

He started four games and allowed sixteen goals against the Bruins.

Bobrovsky dominated the best team in the NHL. He smashed the Leafs and is dominating the Canes. Dude won 2 Conn Smythes an is ATG goalie, way better than Carey Price ever was.
The only kid is someone that doesn't get a historically ATG goalie dominating the playoffs, child.
Ignoring the fact it's impossible to compare a center to a goalie, What's that reason?
