That was some smooth skating and great mitts. Konecny looked extra lost there lol, almost feel bad for him.

Now the question is, how many real defenders would have stopped him?

For all the complaints about 3v3, it produces a lot of the NHL’s best goals.

Far more space and less defense, no wonder.

Here he only needs to best one defender to drive to the net.

Nice goal but 3v3 still is not a "good" hockey product to decide the second point. A very small step above the shootout.

It serves a purpose, though. Everyone just watched 60 minutes of classic hockey. The game has to end sometime, so they increase the amount of space to accelerate the conclusion. It's only a few minutes, ends the game quickly, and creates threadworthy goals. Everyone wins. Except the team that loses.
