None of our young guys could reproduce the scoring on the backend that Zids brings. Severson could but he is still far to green to make the jump to the NHL.

That is why a 1 year deal will be fantastic.

a one year deal is a win/win. If he plays well and the team plays well. Great. If the team has a bad year he'd be a nice rental for a contenting team. Probably could fetch a 2nd round pick.
