Sorry, I was vague. I meant the Ducks, neither would be a top 2C on the Ducks if the team is healthy, which it hasn't at any point this season. Both McTavish and Carlsson have played at the same time less than half the season. At no point this season has all of the of the top 6 been healthy.

And being 2 years older? Or do only Montreal players get better after their first couple of seasons? Zegras has actually been pretty good on D this year when he's been in the lineup. Suzuki might be the better player, but it's too early to tell. I think Z will end up the better offensive player, Suzuki the better 2 way. This year is a write off year, but by the ends of his 24 year old season, Z will have as many 60+ point seasons as Suzuki, maybe even break 70.

Since it sounds like you "pick up a remote" and watch every single player, you should know that Zegras has gotten better on the defensive end.

McTavish and Vatrano are the only ones that have shown up most nights for the Ducks (and the goalies), the other top line seems off by a bit most nights, but that happens when they can't play together enough to form any chemistry. Defense has 3 players with less than a full year (combined) of NHL experience coming into the year so they're really inconsistent. Next year will be a better measure... full year with a new coach/ system, training camp, and hopefully healthy team.
