A beautiful hit at full speed but on the replay it appears it is shoulder to head. Kase went to the room. Thoughts?
In determining whether contact with an opponent's head was avoidable, the circumstances of the hit including the following shall be considered:
(i) Whether the player attempted to hit squarely through the opponent’s body and the head was not "picked" as a result of poor timing, poor angle of approach, or unnecessary extension of the body upward or outward.
(ii) Whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position by assuming a posture that made head contact on an otherwise full body check unavoidable
Zadorov has at least 6 inches on Kase. It doesn't look like he's intentionally targeting the head here.
A player may not have "intent" to target the head, but reckless action leading to the same result is just as bad.
He clear as day makes contact with the head of Kase.
That’s about what I see. Miss seeing him blow people up in coHe got a ton of his head. Dirty or not? Idk I don't think he was trying to blow up his head. But he did.
Nothing reckless about that hit.A player may not have "intent" to target the head, but reckless action leading to the same result is just as bad.

Those are not mutually exclusive. They are in the IIHF, but not the NHL.He was going for a clean hit but it is a hit to the head
Clean. Kase leaning a bit forward and Azadorov is a big guy. Just unfortunate positioning.
That was my first thought too and I'm a Leafs fan. His stick clearly hits Z's head (although I wouldn't call it 'dirty')Dirty Kase should have got a high sticking penalty
