Imagine if our D could hit the net like Werenski does
They do. Problem is other teams goalies make routine saves. When u destroy a team scoring chances wise like we were doing to Columbus and bob let’s in distant shots from the point not much defense or
Team can do. You guys whine about too many slot shots, second chances and seam
Pass one timers to open guys and there were nine of those the first 3 goals against clbs yet the puck was in. This is how I can tell clear bias. It’s basically bitching about Matheson and when he does everything fans ask of him they find something else to harp on.
Same thing is happening
Now to team d. One common factor. Terrible goaltending. Period. The numbers and proof is in right in front of everyone’s face they just can’t handle facts that our ten million dollar goalie has been a major bust so far

The first sentence.

As the calendar flips to 2020, the Florida Panthers are hoping the new year brings some old traits.

Aint we hoping it doesn't BRING OLD TRAITS FFS!! There is ZERO old traits this team should bring with them

Then later on

"Just get back to our game, and start playing the right way," Trocheck said following Wednesday's practice in Ottawa. "(When we) tighten a few things up, and get back to playing our systems, it'll be better."

The right way? We have played 1 game solid defensively and it was that 1rst detroit game

I'm with you here. Switch the goalies in this game and we win by 2 or 3 goals.

Tort's plan was play like the 90s Devils. They sat back and sheltered their goalie. They focused solely on D until a chance off a turnover, or a PP opportunity. It seemed they even put their crowd to sleep at times. Panthers have to find a way to adjust to the slogging game CBJ played last night.
It’s the way the panthers should be playing. It brought us results under gallant.

Nope we can’t afford to sit back like that. If we got outshot like clbs did we would have been down 3 after 1. Bob isn’t good enough to rely on plain and simple. In fact we held clbs to less chances and less dangerous chances most of the game.

48" above the ice
Screened by our own players, even Randy and Goldie said it on the broadcast

Went off Matheson right to a CBJ player who were all in front of Bob, this is the opposite of the Perimeter Panthers who barely got in Elvis' face other than Sceiv tipped deflection goal and Vatrano/Conns

Bob should have "Carey Priced" it and tried to initiate contact with Foligno to get the interference and Ek should have cleared him out, Werenski wide ****ing open.....dumb challenge by our video guys.

What wasn't shown here was Matheson turning the puck over behind the net, then this video begins with CBJ players with puck possession, Barkov goes after Nyquist behind the net and Matheson's brain said instead of playing man-on-man coverage or giving support in front of Bob, I'm going to double cover the guy BEHIND THE NET and screw everyone else up to allow Werenski to be all alone and also have "Caitlyn" Jenner stand all alone in front of Bob too in case there is any rebound.

Werenski completes the hat trick

When the Nato-Sceiv-Pysser line is the only line to score, you're going to lose most nights. What an embarrassment with how much CBJ was depleted. Torts clearly had a strategy and Randy kept mentioning CBJ was not forechecking hard like they normally do, instead sitting back. waiting for the opportunities to happen and they got it. Bob not living up to the money and Math being Math, at least Stillman was hitting everyone in sight.

I'm not talking about mishaps on defense that only lead to goals. I'm talking plays where they cant even clear the zone when it couldnt be simpler, they turn it over but it doesnt lead to the goal etc or are these just fine if they dont result in a goal?
