I am perposly leaving out the big 4 (Gretz, Orr, Howe, Lemieux) just so I can get 4 more names onn there because I want to have a different list.

Brian Sutter-My Favorite player as a young lad. eppitomised what I still love about hockey today. He had the skill but he also had as much heart as anyone to ever play. Give me 18 Sutters plus 2 goalies anyday.

Denis Savard-He played for the Hawks for a good part of his career so I hate the SOB in one sence but man could he dangle.

Ray Bourque-The best D-man I ever saw play live.

Mark Messier-Much like Sutter heart wise but Lots more skill and thats not meant to be a shot at Sudsy.

Brett Hull-For 3 years the Blues were basically up 1-0 when they came out for warmups because he was good for almost a goal a game. As I get Older he may climb further up this list because he may have well been the best pure goal scorer I ever saw. He is definatly one of the best no question.

Patrick Roy-The Best goalie I ever Saw play.

Mike Liut-The first Blues Goalie that I ever saw that could steal a game.

Mike Bossy-If Hull wasnt the Best goal scorer that I saw he was.

Bob Probert-The toughest SOB I ever saw play so he gets mention here in my book.

Dave Brown-The second toughest SOB I ever saw play live also gets some props.

Then and there
Limiting my selection to players I saw live (under 30's not considered here for all-time favourites)

1. Paul Coffey - I rather watched him than 10 master defensive d-man (Since I don't remember seing Orr live in action, although I'm told I did see him, but I can't remember it, was too young)
2. Pavel Bure - Most exciting player ever
3. Sergei Fedorov - Could (can?) do everything, and with style, too
4. Dominik Hasek - Goaltending can be something else than boring positioning, butterfly, angles and percentage play
5. Steve Yzerman
6. Joe Sakic
7. Wayne Gretzky
8. Paul Kariya
9. Mike Bossy
10. Cam Neely

Players I would have liked to see, they might have made my list from what I've read (in order): Cyclone Taylor, Joe Malone, Eddie Shore.
