John MacLean - a good guy who was mostly a scorer but reinvented himself as a checker as he got older, much like Kirk Muller did. Cup winner too.

Murray Craven - Just your run of the mill second line scorer. He was OK. I remember him screwing up a penalty shot, it's on a Don Cherry video.

Brian Hayward - was probably the best backup goalie in the league for 5 years. Won a few Jennings trophies with Roy.

Dirk Graham - He had 2nd line talent but was most valuable for his defensive capabilities. He won a selke or two.

Brian Noonan - A Mike Keenan follower. He had 2nd-3rd line upside and was a decent player.

Stephane Matteau - Another Keenan Follower. A 3rd line gringer/energy guy. He scored one of the biggest goals in Rangers history. Hard not to like this guy.

Tom Barrasso - He's a jerk. Anyone will tell you that. But the guy could play goal. He was good enough to not lose the cup for the stacked 91 and 92 Pens. He won a vezina and placed in the top-3 in save percentage a few times. The idiot slashed Yanic Perreault in the wrist as Yanic was coming around the net and put him out for a long time.

Jon Casey - a decent goalie. I think he made the 2nd all-star team once, and he got to the finals with Minnesota. In 1996 when Kypreos took out Fuhr in the first round, Casey came in and everyone thought it was lights out, but he was just as good, ended up taking them to double OT of game 7 vs. the Stacked Red Wings (you may remember the Steve Yzerman rising slapshot as the game winner)

...But 85-86 season in Winnipeg might be the worst ever for a starting goaltender.
