I really wanna see this team against the Kings, Ducks, Sharks. Those are the games that will be the real measuring stick, it's nice to see the California teams struggling.

Ebs is out, Hall starts slow, McDavid and Slepy are getting up to speed, and the entire team is getting used to new coaching. There will be growing pains as the Oilers cleanse the stench of past seasons.

Need a couple of draws in the next games for my prediction to be right

I'd be surprised if the Oilers win another game in October. Being out of playoff contention before November 1st is a new low! We keep finding ways to hit a new rock bottom with this team.

taking an honest look at our schedule in October and 3-7 is not terrible
.

We have played all of the best teams in hockey except for Montreal and Tampa. We played Calgary on the road and Vancouver the next night.

The only two games I thought we were better than 50/50 to win were in Calgary and Detroit at home. Think about that. We lose every time to those teams and they were, by far, the most winnable of the first 11 games.

We need to go 2-1-1 on this home stand and then play > 500 for a while.
