Oilers over Hawks in 4
We were stumbling into the break a bit but overall from January first we were one of the top teams in the league, 2 first lines clicking, depth scoring and koskinen has been stepping up his game at the right time. Kane is a beast and a total game breaker so I think they swipe a game but our depth is so much better and our best players are the best in the world.

Jets over Flames in 4
C=ng. No banjos can save them from the ass whipping I think they’ll recieve.

Coyores over Preds in 5
Boring series but the preds were doing well going into the stoppage. Only reason I’ll watch games is to see hall hopefully play well.

Canucks over Wild in 5
Petterson while overrated imo and Hughes will lead the charge, Markstrom is extremely solid as well. What change in dynamic their team is now from that pile of excrement in the early 2010’s.

Hurricanes over Rangers in 3
Rangers fans have been grating since they finally paid big money for a ufa and having it finally work, would be hilarious to see them flop. In reality, I think this series goes to 5 games with the Canes coming out on top.

Islanders over Panthers in 4

Penguins over Habs in 3
Habs should not even be here and will most likely get destroyed. When/if they do lose, it would be cool to see Lafrieniere there dawning the Habs jersey.

Jackets over Leafs in 5
Matthews will get his goals but a healthy Jackets squad coached by jack adams nominee torts will hopefully trash the leafs. They’re mentally fragile with a shady defence and clutch playoff performances from Anderson.

- Not even being a homer. Chicago's got no defense or goaltending.

Jets over Flames in 5
Flames just don't have anyone that's playoff-good. Gaudreau is the opposite of clutch, and their goaltending is far outmatched.

Predators over Coyotes in 5
Just don't think Coyotes have the weapons upfront. Preds forwards were massive underachievers during the season and could easily step up now.

Canucks over Wild in 4
Goaltending will be the difference.

Rangers over Hurricanes in 5
Hurricanes don't scare me as much as last year and the Rangers have their number.

Panthers over Islanders in 5
Bad matchup for Isles coming back from a 4-month layoff. Takes a bit of time for defensive structures to find their strides and think Panthers will plainly outscore them into the next round. Also Bobrovsky can only get better.

Penguins over Canadiens in 3
Not sure I really need to explain this one. Habs clearly the worst team in these play-in rounds.

Blue Jackets over Leafs in 5
This one I'm most unsure about. Could easily see a repeat of CBJ/TBL from last year, but wouldn't surprise me to see Leafs take this one.

It's tough to make any assumptions considering all of these teams are going to come in with rust. That being said....

Edmonton over Chicago in 4
Calgary over Winnipeg in 5
Nashville over Arizona in 3
Wild over Canucks in 5

Hurricanes over Rangers in 4
Islanders over Panthers in 4
Penguins over Canadiens in 3
Leafs over Blue Jackets in 5

Oilers over Hawks in 4
Make it so!

Jets over Flames in 5
Paragon of grit and leadership Milan Lucic scores all of the flames goals (2 goals in 1-0 wins, they get destroyed in the 3 other games)

Preds over Coyotes in 4
Hall goes beast mode and is in on almost all Arizona goals. Sets himself up for the royal treatment at UFA time, and someone badly overpays.

Canucks over Wild in 4
Meh

Hurricanes over Rangers in 3
Panarin decides to give a 55% effort to match how much money he's expecting to lose to escrow.

Islanders over Panthers in 4
Eberle shows again how good he is at saving his energy during the regular season and wrecks the Panthers.

Penguins over Habs in 5
Carey Price gives his all to kinda earn his salary. Isn't enough still.

Jackets over Leafs in 5
Leafs 45.5M bonus nuclear option line is used in the last period of game 5 and they get scored on 3 times to lose the game 7-3.

I think we should have the Hawks number.
We looked pretty comfortable out there considering how long it had been since we'd last played.
Crawford will probably look good but I had Edmonton looking better than Chicago at all other facets of the series.
Edmonton in 4-5.

Gotta say... I originally thought Chicago might give you guys fits. But after watching that game last night. I think the Oilers have the upper hand in a big way.

A few observations from a Jets fan.
-Bear was amazing. He is exactly the type of puck mover you guys have been missing. Not to mention his compete level is off the charts.

-Yamamoto has all kinds of swagger and I see some Martin St. Louis in his game. Slippery smart and fearless.

-McDavid is....McDavid

-Draisaitl looked a bit off (not far just a bit)

-You finally have a quality NHL'er with 'RUSSELL' on his sweater.

-Mike Smith will absolutely steal you some games.

You guys will have no problem with the Flames. I’m not the biggest Hellebucyk fan but he’s far better than Rittich or Talbot. And it goes without saying you guys are much deeper at forward.

If Talbot starts you guys are going to score at least one first shot of the game goal on him.

I wouldn't like Helly either if he played on another team ;-)

I thought the Flames showed well overall. No puck luck and Talbot was shaky in the first but he had a good second.

Rittich was not very impressive.

You guys would destroy Talbot, trust me. He just sits there like a statue so if you make the extra pass or move he’s beaten already.

Rittich can be good when he’s on, but he’s really inconsistent.

As far as which teams I really, really want to lose badly, and get humiliated in the first round (other than The Oil pounding the Hawks), my order of satisfaction would be Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Arizona, Montreal, Rangers, Panthers.
