There’s really no excuse if we don’t get a top tier RD man with this firepower now. Absolutely love that Benson fell to us but we now need to address the hole and not just put someone with with Power that is serviceable.

Cozens (core piece)
Power (core piece)
Quinn (I view him like I viewed Cozens before last season. He'll likely be a game wrecker)
Savoie
Kulich
Levi
Benson

Peterka would take a lot to pry from my hands. Krebs is a tier below him.

Benson and Savoie, no point trading those while they are still in juniors and these are crucial ELC contracts that can be on the roster when we start being one of the legit top EC teams.. JJP and Quinn still have two more ELC years on the roster and don't see any reason they should be traded. In 25/26 we have our top 9 wings between those four and Skinner+Tuch.

So who is the long term 3C, or at least in 25/26. I see three candidates, Kulich/Krebs/Mitts. No clarity on this yet. I would like to see Kulich at 1C in Rochester next season. Not enough info for me to gave confident opinion, so for now let's just make them all untouchable *this* offseason. Next offseason I would absolutely trade one of those three.

Rosen and Ostlund and the rest are all currently touchable.

I like Kozak&Nadeau as future bottom 6 players so I don't see the point in trading those two for Josh Bloom type returns. So they are untouchable mostly as well due to circumstance.

Although i would add Cozens as being as close to 'untouchable' as untouchable gets, simply because he's already signed long term.

And Levi is only there because Adams has made it so.

I want Kreb to be that 3C for the long-term and maybe it works out this year. If it doesn't, it's Kulich or Ostlund's opportunity from there but that depends on the Savoie/Benson progress.

I think those 4 guys are pretty untouchable as they'll be part of the core group moving forward. While all the other guys I do love they could be traded for the right price. It'll hurt to trade a guy like Savoie, Quinn or Benson, but if it'll bring in a piece to put us over the top then you gotta do it.

Power is probably my only 'untouchable', which is a word I hate.

The rest I love are more in a category of 'don't trade because we're building a roster here', not because they're 'untouchable'

That's how you end up like NYR fans with 34 untoucable prospects.


Org wide the only 3 truly unmovable guys imo are Dahlin, Power, and Thompson.
