Probably wont happen because MT has a constant hard on for keeping Gio with Plex / Max with DD :help:

But it's obvious changes are needed because we aren't generated **** all. No energy, no nothing.

So what would be your ideal lineup going into next game?

I'd go:

Pacioretty Plex Gallagher
Galchenyuk Eller Ryder
Prust Desharnais Gionta
Borque Halpern Armstrong/Moen

Subban Gorges
Diaz Tinordi
Markov Boullion

Ryder - Plekanec - Gionta ; had loads of succes when Ryder was acquired from Dallas.

Bourque - Desharnais - Pacioretty ; Try and recreate what Cole was bringing to this very good line last year with Bourque. DD should benefit of the two larger bodies around him.

Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher ; fast, skilled and already a good chemistry between them.

Prust - Halpern - Armstrong/Moen/Blunden : grit.

Markov - Tinordi : Markov needs a steady big guy on his side. He showed poise and good play on his short stint so bring him in.

Gorges - Subban ; played togheter and did very well for almost the entire season.

Diaz - Bouillon ; great compatibility, keep things simple.

Eller-Desharnais-Prust would interest me.

Plek and ryder together for sure

Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Gallagher too.

Mind you, Prust-Galchenyuk-Gallagher would be nice, successful to start year.

The Habs became the best team in the East with Pleks playing with Ryder and Gionta.
DD with Pacioretty and Gally
Eller with Prust and Chuckie.

And, with Weber in the Press Box.

Throw whomever you want on the 4th with Halpern. Take either Bourque or Armstrong (Bourque preferably since his game sucks now) and put them in the press box.

Bring up Tinordi to replace Weber please.

The offensive lines are irrelevant if the defense cannot play better hockey so I won't even bother putting forward lines:

Gorges-Subban
Tinordi-Diaz
Markov-Bouillon

or

Markov-Subban - 30 minutes min
Tinordi-Diaz
Gorges-Pateryn

Your line-up is realistic and everything except for one thing. Koivu belongs to Anaheim and trade deadline passed. Other than that, looks good.

I just want DD on the wing with Eller and Galchenyuk centering our 2nd and 3rd line.

I'd still leave Prust on the 4th line. I actually thought Bourque looked solid with Eller and Galchenyuk.

But maybe a one game demotion for Bourque would put a hop in his step again.

I kind of went for the line that started the year as it's been successful in the past.

Why not scratch DD? Send a message that even your boy toy can be benched for bad play.

Play with 3 lines; scratch the 12th forward; use 7 defensemen; use Prust as a joker and Halpern in face-off situations.
