in 3 years i expect the team to look like this. short of getting a center this draft i dont see us finding something better then bozak for the 1st line. i expect kadri to have been moved out for help somewhere else. lupul and clarkson will still be under contract, same with komorov. i think the goat will be in 3rd line beast mode and rielly and gardiner will be established and finn becoming a quality top 4 defenseman

I believe its only a matter of time before you start seeing some of the big boys come home to play for the leafs. Brendan Shanahan will have a huge impact in landing players. But I dont think it will be Stamkos coming home, I see it being Tavares. It doesn't take much to see that his heart is not in Long Island, and unless something drastic happens when the team moves to Brooklyn, I dont see that changing. He seems to be a better fit on a line with Kessel anyways. I dont think the leafs have enough time to structure their cap to fit Stamkos, but with a few extra years to wait on Tavares it could be a different story.

I see this too. Imo one of tavares/stamkos will come here, tavares tried to sign with the marlies before he was drafted even.....

Thing to rememebr too is that there is no way the leafs will be going with Rielly, Gardiner and Finn all in the line up. All play the same game and having three highly OFD would probably do more harm then good. Im intersted to see where Granbergs game goes. Got to see him in Ottawa during the final game of the season and did not keep up to the NHL pace very well. But I will hold my judgements until I see a better sample size.

As for lines go. I guess il take a stab at the team we could see in the 15/16 season

*Gauthier is questionable for the 15/16 season, developing very slow. May need multiple years at AHL level.
*sorry folks but Phaneuf is here to stay. But I wouldnt be suprised if he turns things around if he gets paired with an OFD such as Rielly or Finn and can change his style to the responsible DFD he needs to.
*IMO, the leafs are going to have to choose between Finn and Gardiner and if Finn plays the way I think he will this season the AHL level , then the choice isnt going to be a tough one. This kid is an absolute stud and could very well be the leafs best draft pick outside the first round in a very long time.
