I personally don't want to break up last year's top forward line of Stewart, Richards and Dawes.

This is personally how I'd do it...

Stewart - Richards - Dawes
Bergeron - Crosby - Colliton
Getzlaf - Carter - Perry
Dixon - Fraser - Macarthur
Ladd

Pretty much the same line up that Bob Mackenzie posted on the other thread, except I'd switch Perry and Ladd.

Yeah, McKenzie is probably right anyway. But I figured that Richards would be the perfect checking line center.

Well, since I put Ladd in my original list purely for his chemistry with Getzlaf, I guess I would have to try him there, although I like Perry with those guys too. I'll go:

Dawes-Richards-Stewart
Bergeron-Crosby-Perry
Getzlaf-Carter-Ladd
Dixon-Fraser-Colliton
MacArthur

Overall for the roster, MacArthur is my only real disappointment. I don't think Fraser belongs either, but I kind of expected it, so I can't say that it "disappointed" me, exactly.

One thing that is very surprising is that the slate will truly be wiped clean for 2006. Wow. I can understand leaving Dubnyk out this year, since he didn't do anything to earn his spot, and we just went with the best 2 in Glass and Beauchemin. But I'm a little bit surprised that MacArthur makes this team when Bolland or Boyd could have been extras.

As for Green vs. Syvret/Quincey... I like them all a lot, so even though Green was my personal pick, I don't think we can go wrong with any of them.

No problem when the NHL lockout ends the season ... Jeff Carter will become a UFA or enter the next entry draft ager permitting .. You can take him then ..

I guess the organization wanted to take a risk with Kostytsin.
He'll either be a an awesome scorer or an awesome bust.
But yeah, Carter would have been a better choice, not that I'm totally unhappy with Kost, I'm sure he'll crack the NHL lineup soon.
