You are the casting director who has to put together the cast for a Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot as all the copies have gone lost. The producers stress that the energy needs to be similar. Higher diversity is good, but not a requirement. You get extra kudos for casting teens in the roles of teens.

The budget will be huge so some roles that aren't permanent can be filled by pretty big names.

My cast:
Buffy Summers would be played by 16 year old starlet McKenna Grace coming off a recurring guest role on Young Sheldon and playing that young version of so many protagonists. Has the comedic timing for the classic Buffy quips and the dramatic chops to carry the world on her back. We have not yet seen her entire range and she will need to grow a bit still to finish "The Body"

Willow Rosenberg will see Priah Ferguson act her age and closer to her real life persona. The young cocky younger little sister of Lucas Sinclair is really a humble, kinda shy 16 year old ready to grow into a witch.

Xander Harris will this time be played by a teen! No one would be better for this role than scrappy Brady Noon from Good Boys and the lead from Mighty Ducks - Game Changers. He will bring an underdog quality to the role that will feel oh so right. Clocks in at 17 years.

Rounding out our original Scooby gang we need a handsome, british watcher. The role of Rupert Giles will be filled by none other than David Tennant who once more will need to go with his QE instead of his scottish English.

The guest role of Joyce Summers needs to be played by someone who has quite a bit of experience and the ability to carry some heavy parts later on. I've chosen Kirsten Dunst who rightfully eats a big chunk of the budget for every episode she is in.

The school needs some more pupils of course. Led by the cheerleaders.

Cordelia Chase will be embodied by Mr Noon's cast partner from Mighty Ducks; Taegen Burns who showed that she can play an it girl who has more than meets the eye. This role needs to be filled with an actor who has the ability to steal scenes and sometimes episodes.

No Cordelia squad is complete without a Harmony Kendall. The ditzy, kinda loyal girl will be played by Tiana Le from Big Shot.

The tiny role of Jonathan will be played by diminutive Aiden Arthur who has that quirky streak that allows him to take a bigger role when needed.

Angel will be played by an actor who like David Boreanaz needs a breakthrough. Or really a comeback to acting. Chandler Riggs who has grown into a broody handsome guy agrees to sign up and show that he can carry a romance on screen instead of the failures Carl had on the Walking Dead.

The Master will be played by none other than the experienced masked man Bill Skarsgård who will intimidate the audience and cast alike.

His vampire squad will be filled by British Nathan Stewart-Jarrett who will show off his American accent in the role as Luke.

Darla will be played by 26 year old Lia Marie Johnson who can still pass for a teenager and is due for a breakthrough in a guest role.

Other bigger roles from seasons to come:

William/Spike will be played by 23 year old cheekbone exposer Jamie Platters from So Awkward and Avatar 2. Will need to play his entire range.

Drusilla needs to be by his side. For this eccentric role we need some alure. Isis Hainsworth from the West End will put us all in a trance.

Dawn Summers is the hardest role to cast as that actor needs to be around 10-13 right now. As there is some likeness to both mother and sister; we keep Harriet Ophuls from Captain Marvel on our shortlist as long as she can look the age once it is time.

Anya Jenkins/Aud will enter with a bang. We need an actress with some oumph. My chose lands on Reagan Revord who like McKenna Grace is a Young Sheldon alumn. At 15 right now she will fit right in and play the scrappy, money-loving demon.

Willow needs love. The role of Oz will be filled by none other than cool Nicholas Crovetti. Crovetti can play cool as a cucumber and could probably give Daniel "Oz" Osbourne's laconic style a fresh take.

The biggest love story in the series needs some serious firepower. For the role of Tara.. We are bringing in Julia Butters who I think will grow immensely. Right now she is 14, but will feel closer to age with Priah's Willow once it is time for college.

Buffy also doesn't just love vampires. We need to find a big and buff army guy. We send Jack Dylan Graze to the gym!

Aiden Arthur will need two more Daltons to his trio. Playing the role of tech wiz Warren will be Nik Dodani from Atypical who still can play quite a bit younger (doesn't need to be the same age as the scoobies) than his age. Tucker's brother however needs that goofy young energy.. Quinn Liebling from Everything Sucks is just the guy! Also a bit older but should work with the time line. This trio would be epic!

Will add pictures when I am at a computer.

Party of 5, Wonder Years, Charmed, etc. got reboots

Is there no originality left?
Even though it was marketed as a reboot, Party of Five was a nostalgia grab with a story that was nothing close to what you would say was replicating the source material (reviewers seem to disagree with this). What they did was good but I hate that they attached that title to it.
