Me too, brother.

I just can't go to games with a positive outlook when the likelihood of us getting shredded is so high. Cheering for a team that looks unprepared and outgunned feels too much like the cheering the Charge of the Light Brigade (which as you recall, didn't finish very well for the Light Brigade).

After years and years of the walk of shame, I won't let myself be aggravated when it is clear that the players making millions of dollars did not do enough to prepare themselves to play hockey during the offseason. If they are going to lose, then I want them to lose big.

Completely logical. Your just smarter than me. Nothing worse than the walk of shame, lst time yesterday in a LONG time. You hit the nail on the head...Their lack of offseason preparation is humiliating and the basis for the poor start.

Wish there was a rant thread I could go on and on... Oh wait ;)

A little optomist injection here:

Read today in my 'The Hockey News' magazine that the New Jersey Devils started the '94-'95 season 0-3-1. As we all know they went on to win the Stanley Cup that year. I think it also said something like they finished the regular season 2-4-1? (Don't have the magazine in front of me, so that might not be exactly correct). It did mention though that they never lost more than 3 in a row.

Its so easy to get down on this team after all the new winning ways that were established last year, and their lame effort.

But I'm going to stay optomistict. After watching Dineen's post-game interview on the Panthers website, I KNOW the team will come out with a much better effort tomorrow against TBay, injuries or not.

Very sad....months and months of anticipation for an abysmal start, ATF.

Ok it's just one win but it was a character come backer. As a fan, u left the arena feeling you for your money's worth.

Maybe steal a game Sunday, and save this set. Lets see.

Good point. That means playing like a 100 point team. Very difficult with our talent level.

Love this site in conjunction with this thread.

Excited for today's game, aka the Super Bowl pregame in my house.

Love the huby mueller shore line; and the Weiss line returns complete.

A win gives us a respectable 4 and we move on to set 3.

Overall, if you think about it, compared to what it could be, this is a fairly easy road trip and the time to get hot. The Sabres have struggled over the past week, the Jets lost big in Florida twice, and the Flyers and Caps have struggled as much as we have. Coming back home with three out of four wins would be awesome.

Not a bad 4 game stretch, time to have a 5 or 6 pointer...
To your point ATF that's 1.25 per game.... Or 5 every 4.

Win, wash twice and Philly...I like it. Especially the day offs in between. Looking forward to it.

No we don't... that would be a 112 point pace for a regular season play off spot, we need about 40-46 points, maybe even less.
