Great season so far for them. In Finland people say our hockey is in some kind of "crisis". I don't see it. Happy to see our young guys play so well.

Ah, I would love to see even 1 guy hit PPG in the next seasons, since it ain't happening this season although scoring is way up
Land of complementary players is here, which in of itself isn't the worst thing. No players who are gamebreakers yet, but it's rare to be PPG in the 2010's

Quite the difference compared to the beginning of the decade. The new generation is really taking over.

Future looks better than it has for a long time. Still hoping for that illusive 'true #1d'. All my chips are on Miro.

Not too confident about our goalies in the future. Man it feels weird to say that.

Its awesome. Really surprised that Rantanen has done so well. Now they just need some defencemen...

Laine has been disappointing. Next year he needs to find a new gear

Not at all. He just had worst possible line-mate from the team and wasn't able to play passing game. Soon as Wheeler became his center, he has been totally different player.

Mikko could go ppg, especially if that 1st line continues clicking.

Oh great, this again.

Reasons why Laine isn't the best player in the world:

1. Maurice not using him right.
2. Little is horrible.
3. His linemates suck.
4. He wasn't been put in a situation to succeed.
5. He's the youngest player in the league.

Any more to add?

Definitely getting better.

Young D: Honka, Ristolainen, Nutivaara, Maata, Lindell, Vatanen.
Young G: Korpisalo, Saros (Damn, didn't know he was so short)
Upcoming D: Heiskanen, Juolevi, Jokiharju, Valimaki, Vaakanainen, Salo, Rasanen, Kotkansalo
Upcoming G: Husso

There could be quite a few young Finnish D coming in next season, I see Heiskanen and Juolevi on their teams and Honka getting a bigger role (if Dallas can accommodate two new defenders). The rest of the these guys all have a chance.
But yeah, I don't see Luukkonen amounting to anything anytime soon. Still needs a lot of work. There will be a problem with goaltending. But the situation with the forwards looks great too. Maybe a little void of solid PKers and grinders?

Well, even on a general level, it is rare to hit PPG. At the moment, only 22 players out of 535 (who have played 25+ games so far) in the entire league are PPG or more. That's just 4,1 % of all players. And only 17 teams have players at PPG or more (some teams have several - TBL, NYI, WPG, PHI, PIT).

And I know what you're thinking. No Swedish player is PPG either ;)

Out of the 22 to hit PPG, 5 are from outside of North America: Kucherov, Voracek, Kopitar, Ovechkin, Malkin.

I was surprised why he was played on all games, especially when he seemed to let in several low danger unobstructed shots. Perhaps we could have seen a surprise from Lassi Lehtinen or Niilo Halonen.

Lekhonen has been good as well (although the stats don't reflect that), he was injured for the first part of the season and it really affected his game.
I still seem him ending up being a very solid player.
