Ok, so, for the 6th year, I made my mock draft for the 1st round. The original version is about 4000 words, but it's in French, so here is a condensed version for you English readers.
-Edmonton - Nail Yakupov - Either they pick him or they trade the pick. He is going number 1.
-Columbus - Filip Forsberg - Trading Nash means an opening for a new franchise winger.
-Montreal - Mikhail Grigorenko - It's him or Galchenyuk, but I like his ceiling better.
-NY Islanders - Ryan Murray - Will they finally draft a D this high? I hope so.
-Toronto - Alex Galchenyuk - This should make Leafs fans happy.
-Anaheim - Mathew Dumba - BPA in my opinion, then again, I'm quite high on him.
-Minnesota - Jacob Trouba - Nice fit here, don't see them taking Teravainen.
-Carolina - Teuvo Teravainen - They hope they draft a second Jeff Skinner here.
-Winnipeg - Griffin Reinhart - They need D, and he is quite good at what he does.
-Tampa - Morgan Rielly - A Hedman-Rielly duo is just too good to envision.
-Washington - Radek Faksa - Really fits the new Capitals
-Buffalo - Brendan Gaunce - Big center is something they don't really have.
-Dallas - Olli Maatta - Big time riser and Stars kinda love Scandinavians
-Calgary - Cody Ceci - I will get flamed for not putting Collberg, but they can't skip Ceci at 14.
-Ottawa - Hampus Lindholm - They love their Swedes and he has huge upside.
-Washington - Slater Koekkoek - After Faksa, they get a d-man, which I am quite high on.
-San Jose - Sebastian Collberg - They go BPA here, and quite easy pick too.
-Chicago - Ludvig Bystrom - They hope they get their own Erik Karlsson in Bystrom.
-Tampa Bay - Andrei Vasilevski - Him or Subban, but I think he is the best goalie since 2008 (Markstrom).
-Philadelphia - Matt Finn - Do-it-all d-man is a good fit, and almost BPA.
-Buffalo - Nicholas Kerdiles - Big-time riser and he is a Buffalo type of player, i think.
-Pittsburgh - Zemgus Girgensons - No real reason for him falling, but Pittsburgh gladly snags him
-Florida - Derrick Pouliot - Not a fan of him, but I can't see him falling much further
-Boston - Tom Wilson - Ok, seems like an easy guess, but with all the better D's gone, I think they take him
-St.Louis - Pontus Aberg - Once again, not a fan of him, but I'd be surprised if he falls this far.
-Vancouver - Dalton Thrower - I really like him and local to boot.
-Phoenix - Tomas Hertl - BPA, especially since they don't really need any D-man.
-New York Rangers - Henrik Samuelsson - May be a reach, but I liked what I saw from him
-New Jersey Devils - Malcolm Subban - Really think they kept their pick for a goalie
-Los Angeles - Phil DiGiuseppe - Him or a boom/bust type like Nieves or Jankowski.
-Columbus - Brady Skjei - They need all the help they can have, he is BPA here.
-Edmonton - Oscar Dansk - They get the last of 3 top goalies.
-Montreal - Michael Matheson - Local kid and really sounds like a Timmins type of pick.
