Did anyone watch the video? He didn't look to dive at all, and Phaneuf's stick actually hit Yandle. Weird call by the NHL.

No reason to pull his hand off the stick and wave it around, or to go to one knee.

It looks like the tip of the blade might have hit his wrist. But if not that's some serious acting.

Main thing about these embellishment fines, is that it always takes two seperate incidents to trigger the fine. First time you might get the benefit of the doubt from fans that "maybe he wasn't fishing there", but multiple times usually suggest that you deserved it.

And it pisses the refs off because it makes them look bad and lord knows they don't need any help with that.
