A spot has recently opened up in my free keeper league, which is run on Yahoo.
The league has been running for 4 years. Here are the need-to-know details regarding the league:
Every year each team must cut their roster down to 15 players. In the off-season, a 7-round supplemental draft will take place to complete each team's 22-man roster. These picks can be traded. The league also incorporates a prospect system, where every team will have a 25 player maximum farm team, to go along with their main roster. These farm teams - known as owned prospects - will always be carried over year-after-year, with your top 15 players.
Prospects are any skater who has played 82 games or less, and any goalie who has played 41 games or less. Owned prospects are safe in FA, and are only obtained by draft or trade. You can pickup un-owned prospects throughout the year, but they don't get added to your farm.
The league is friendly, but I do take activity seriously, and therefore will quickly remove managers who become inactive.
