To all the people who say Tippett doesn’t play rookies:

He basically threw Bouchard in every possible situation tonight. 5 on 5, 5 on 4, 4 on 5, 4 on 3.

It’s pretty clear from how Bouchard was utilized that they were just prioritizing winning when they played the other 3 guys ahead of him.

I expect Bouch to get a long look in the next few games after his performance tonight.

McDavid now 20 points up on Matthews. But McDavids eyes were dry in those games he didn’t get an assist. So he’s more like 30 points up if his vision wasn’t slightly affected.
Matthews has 64 points. McDavid has 93. It's 29 points difference.

Montreal and Winnipeg both need to win out to catch the Oilers. Home ice in the first round could be clinched tomorrow night.

He’s actually 30 points up on him now. Add another 50 points for the times Connor wasn’t able to pass or shoot because he was being hooked, hacked and held, and it’s actually an 80 point lead. More impressive than Wayne’s 92 goals. ;)
