Good Mock, but I really don't think Toronto will take a goalie with 30th. They will with 31 or their second pick in the second round

From a Carolina POV Bellows should be the pick over McLeod. We have plenty of role players already, what we need is high end forwards.

Avs have a bigger need for a Forward at #10, rumors are out there that the Avs really like both Jost and Keller, scouted them a lot more then others down the stretch. I'd also much rather see them take Sergachev over Chychrun if both are available.

If PLD is available at 8 and Tim Murray doesn't take him I will be sooooooooo upset. Everyone always fawns over guys during the memorial cup hence Tkachuk being the choice at 4. I personally like PLD over Tkachuk and think the Oilers would be stupid to pass on PLD for Tkachuk.

We're also nearly as deep on Cs as we are on LHDs. What we lack is a a clear-cut 1/2C...as opposed to middle-6 guys like Staal, Lindholm, Rask, Roy (McLeod would be another name in that logjam)...we're also pretty solid in the bottom-6.

McLeod is simply a total non-need, at least at #13. At #21, we grab him, even if it's just to develop him as a trade-chip or give us options if we decide to explore moving Staal down the road.

Does it really make a difference if they use the 30th or 31st pick on a goalie?

Switch PLD and Brown.

Boston won't pass on Sergachev at #14.

Not really a Howden fan either. I don't see enough offense to his game. I'd rather they trade the pick + for a player to help now.

I'd be thrilled if Sergachev fell to us at 14. But with more than a handful of 2nd and 3rd pairing D already, I think I'd take Wade Allison over Johannsen at 29 and maybe take a RHD like Peeke, Fox or even Allard at 49.
