Not really. The narrative of Wilson being “scared” has come out of people looking for as many excuses as possible to talk down him because they don’t like him.

Dude fought all the time his first couple years, including older tougher players as a teen. He’s not scared, just smart. Coaches like him getting under teams skin, and wanted him to stop sitting out unnecessary minutes of games.

Similar reason he’s cutting back the reckless stuff in general, but he’s not going to be more or less likely to act the way he does because Chara is on the team

I don't assume Wilson is afraid of anyone. My comment was more so about how many more liberties he will take knowing that the big man is there as well.

Even the toughest of players will play tougher with a guy like Chara around.
