Garland I think was more trying to change things up. He’s found his place as the leader on the third line but he doesn’t have much chemistry with Miller or Pettersson. Boeser played really poorly for two years while he dealt with his dad’s illness and death, and at one point asked to be traded because he thought he needed a new start.
