Yes, I'm assuming he gets a shot. I'm not assuming he succeeds there until he does. I like his playmaking and his defense. I prefer more size and speed at C. But all that matters is the result.

This is a very very solid signing. Great value and could be one of the better middle six contracts in the league. Obviously he likes it here and likes the opportunity he can get.

I think people must be confusing him with another player with a Russian name because according to various sources, Names was born in Zhukovskiy Russia and lived there till he came to Canada in 2010 to play for the London Knights.

Edit: NVM he spent his childhood in Michigan then returned to Russia.
