Cool I guess, rounds out the 4th line with Harkins & Gustafsson.

This is about all we could do, pending Plonk & Copp's RFA negotiations.
Doubt both gus and Harkins will play on 4th line at the same time if no injuries

Nice, if he's even as good as Lewis was last year then I'm satisfied
Pretty good bet he will be if healthy. They're actually very similar players. Lewis has his 2 Cups by virtue of being with the Kings then but Nash has just as many career points as him and is 2 years younger with about 2 seasons worth less games played.

Thought the Leafs should have brought him back he never got much of a look but center depth is always good and he's got some game if he stays healthy

Nash is still a solid 4th line guy. Never thought he would stick around in the league this long but he just plays simplified hockey and is now a grizzled vet. I wouldn't be surprised if he scores 20+ points again away from Torts.
LoL ... his role on the 4th line isn't going to change whether he hits 20 points or not... same role he played in Columbus. But sure, lets put the blame on Torts when Nash plays a checking line/PK duties..

Jets fans shouldn't mind this one, he's reliable and great vet.. signing for what league min?

Leafs didn't give up a 7th

Your right. Leafs gave up a 6th round pick:

The Toronto Maple Leafs' sixth-round pick will go to the Columbus Blue Jackets as the result of a trade on April 9, 2021, that sent Riley Nash to Toronto in exchange for this pick (being conditional at the time of the trade).[49] The condition – Columbus will receive a sixth-round pick in 2022 if Nash plays in 25% of the Maple Leafs' games during the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs[49] – was converted when Toronto was eliminated from the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs with Nash having played two of the Maple Leafs' seven playoff games on May 31, 2021.

Who cares

You are in the section of trade rumors and free agent talk, on a hockey forum for hockey nerds. Riley Nash has appeared in nearly 600 NHL games. What do you expect?

Good signing by Winnipeg for league minimum. Defensively responsible, and is only three years removed from a 40+ point season, and while he's a veteran, he's still not that old.
