Would you bring Adam Oates back as an Assistant Coach?

I totally understand we had different players back in '12 (Kovy and Parisee as examples) but does anybody think it would it would be a good idea if Lou brought back Oates as one of our assistance coaches? I thought he did a great job for the 3 coaches he was under (MacLean, Lemaire, and Deboer.) He help run the powerplay the offence, and other functions and did a great job in my opinon. I was really upset when he left us to coach Washington.

Absolutely, what happen in Washington isn't on him 100% not even 50%. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Between the players and coaches, we had a top power play and penalty kill last season

There is no need to move on from the coaching staff we currently have in place

So it makes no sense at this time

No, he was terrible with the powerplay although I don't know how much of it was on him or Deboer.

We can bring him in as the faceoff coach. He can teach Patty, Gio, and Henrique. They were all terrible this year

We need to be better 5-on-5. The Caps were even worse than us 5-on-5 this year. Not sure adding Oates would really help us there.

Well to bring him back we would have to admit that the current coaching staff is not that great. No one seams to think we have a problem there.
